Click the link on the homepage and sign up. It’s easy and quick! Then start by entering your car (or cars) and snap a photo of a new or old receipt!

Using the app and all of its features is free since we are in beta testing. There a few limits and we are actively collecting feedback to understand if those could be more premium features in the future

The community of car lovers, first and foremost! We want to create a place where cost information is compiled (and anonymized!) and helps other members understand what they can expect to pay for a service. Our unique use of AI is also something that we believe sets us apart. We aim to use real user data, turbocharge it with AI and give everyone the best possible information.

I had a surprise service bill that was ‘extremely urgent’ and the shop left me with no option but to do it immediately at the quoted price. Later, out of curiosity, I found out another shop would have done it for half the price! This inspired Love4Cars and the need for price transparency and tracking! That’s why our goal is to build a community data set that benefits everyone!

The data you enter into the site and app is all yours! You can access, export or delete it at any point. This is a key principle we believe it!

The service records you enter are anonymized and used to enhance the data set for estimates of the entire community.

Select the Vehicles tab, then click “+Add Vehicle”. From there, the best way is to either take a picture of your vehicle’s VIN or type it in.

Alternatively the vehicle information can also be entered manually.

Select the Estimate tab. From here you can toggle between a specific service estimate or a full maintenance schedule. In both options you can select either one of your vehicles, or a different car. For the single service you can pick a predefined category or enter the free text field. Once you enter the info select ‘Get Estimate’ and the response will be shown below.

Great question! As part of our community first approach, we take schedules generated by AI and review them for accuracy. This is done by one of the superusers or admin of the community. Once a schedule is verified by a human, it’ll get a verified badge indicating it as such. Let us know if you’re interested in becoming a superuser to help out the verification process!

Reviewers have the ability to review and verify the maintenance schedules for other users. If you’re interested in becoming a Reviewer click Request Reviewer access on your profile page in the app.

You can access the schedule Review panel by clicking the “Review” menu on the left side (on a browser) or from your name badge in the top right (mobile). From there you’ll be taken to the Review panel where you can see schedules pending review and verified one. Simply click on a particular vehicle to open the schedule and review it. You can change the interval (e.g. 5000 miles, 10000 miles) and lines under each service. When you finish your review you can add any comments and you can also select additional model years the maintenance schedule may apply to. To verify, select “Verify” and ta-da the schedule is now verified. Thanks for your contribution to the community!

Love4Cars uses AI in two ways. First, to read your receipts. Upload an invoice and AI pulls out all the details automatically. You just double check and confirm everything is accurate so you are in control. Second, to generate estimates for various services. AI draws on community pricing and manufacturer maintenance data to give you realistic cost ranges for your specific vehicle.
